科比生涯最后的演讲，回顾其球衣退役时的精彩话语，永远缅怀他
2017年12月19日，全世界的目光集中在斯台普斯球馆上空，8号和24号正式被退役。
回顾科比生涯球衣退役时的最后演讲：
“我想说，今晚非常感谢大家！今晚重要的不是我的球衣退役，而是对那些已经退役球衣的前辈们的致敬。
没有他们就没有现在的我，他们激励着我打出高水平的比赛，“魔术师”、贾巴尔、奥尼尔，他们每天都在推动着我前进，还有贝勒、张伯伦、古德里奇、韦斯特、沃西等等。
还有湖人的管理层，杰里-巴斯你（珍妮）的父亲，他对那个从费城劳尔梅里恩高中出来的瘦小的年轻人给予了信任。
今晚对下一代，如今湖人的球员也有着非常深刻的意义，象征着球馆上方那些球衣所代表的精神，带领着这支球队前进，未来20年将会比过去20年更加出色，那正是这个仪式的意义。
对球迷来说也是非常难忘的一晚，各位球迷，还有媒体朋友们，你们可能不会理解你们对我的意义，清晨5:30当我正在热身，在我训练期间，你们就在陪着我了，我不知道自己能否坚持完成，我会想起你们对我以及对球队的期待，那推动着我坚持下去。你们让我在清晨5:30坚持跑完了那些800米、400米、100米，所以我要非常感谢你们！
还有我的家人、我的妻子瓦妮莎，可能你们不知道我打爵士那场谢幕战很累很累，在家时我依然不清楚自己能否做到那样的表现，还剩最后一场比赛，但是我已经没有那么充沛的精力了。然后她就对我说“我要给你看些东西，那是为你的谢幕战所准备的礼物”，她给我展示了一排排已经退役的球衣，贝勒、“魔术师”、奥尼尔、贾巴尔，上面有他们写给我的留言，还包括乔丹、伟大的比尔-拉塞尔、拉里-伯德。看到这些东西之后，我知道自己的振作起来，准备全力开火。所以，亲爱的谢谢鼓励我。
最后还有我的女儿，娜塔莉亚、吉安娜还有碧昂卡。我希望你们知道，只要付出努力，梦想就能成真。你们都知道，大家都知道！但是希望你们也能明白，那些你早出晚归付出的刻苦努力，你不想训练，你觉得太累了不想强迫自己但最终还是咬牙坚持的时候，那实际上就是在追求梦想，那就是在追求梦想。
不要在乎终点有什么，要享受旅途的过程。如果你们能够理解，你们将会看到或许你不能成就梦想，但总有一些更伟大的事情随之而来，如果你们能够明白这些，那么我就做好父亲的责任了！

Without them, I couldn't be here today. They inspired me to play the game at a higher level.Magic, Cap, Shaq pushing me every day. Baylor. Chamberlain. Goodrich. West. Worthy.

I got a gift for you for your last game.' And she proceeded to show me the row of retired jerseys from Baylor, from Magic, from Shaq, from Cap, all with personal messages signed to me, including from Michael Jordan, including from the great Bill Russell, including from the great Larry Byrd. When I saw that, I knew then that I had to turn it up," Kobe recalled as his wife watched, smiling wide. "So, thank you, baby, for being an inspiration to me.

But hopefully what you get from tonight is that those times when you get up early and you work hard; those times when you stay up late and you work hard; those times when don’t feel like working — you’re too tired, you don’t want to push yourself — but you do it anyway. That is actually the dream. That’s the dream. It’s not the destination, it’s the journey. And if you guys can understand that, what you’ll see happen is that you won’t accomplish your dreams, your dreams won’t come true, something greater will. (Points to the rafters). And if you guys can understand that, then I’m doing my job as a father.”
